Based in Madison, Alabama, Progressive Academy of Dance (PAD) is an arts studio focused on teaching dance in a motivated, supportive, and fun environment. We're focused on building a community of talented dancers of all ages and skill levels. At PAD, we love fresh ideas and enjoy pushing the creative envelope. More than dance, though, we believe in the power of a positive mindset and atmosphere. We're here to build each other up and fill our minds and bodies with encouragement and a healthy dose of love. OUR STAFF

Farrah Locker, Owner/Director

Seamstress extraordinaire // In addition to creating stunning costumes, Farrah helps with studio coordination and direction. When not stitching, fastening, or sewing, she also aids in production organization and studio management.

Tracey Boon, Owner/Director

Jack (Jill) of all trades // She teaches all genres of dance – from ballet, to tap, and even working with our preschool level dancers. She is our resident brand champion, communications liaison, and school program manager. You’ll also find Tracey directing and choreographing for our award winning PAD Company.

Arleta McCall, Director/Instructor

Empress of sass // Her talents are shared across a variety of classes. She is our exclusive Street Jazz teacher and works with our preschool age children. Arleta is our at home managerial pro and guides in production creation. She is also a director and choreographer for our award winning PAD Company.

McKinley Harris, Instructor

Swag king // You’ll always find this guy either dancing or performing. He teaches his own personal brand of hip hop, full of creativity and energy. He’s a multi-talented, award winning, sought after teacher/choreographer who’s passion and drive is infectious to all.

Zena Johnson, Instructor

Prowess and power // As a member of the PAD tribe and is full of positivity and passion. As the Acro instructor, she brings nothing but energy, power, and precision into her teaching. She is an experienced and well-known coach with a deep desire to see her students succeed.

Mallory Sharp, Office Administrator

Director of first impressions // She is the newest member of the PAD team and is here for you! Mallory is tasked with front desk management. She is our very own in house administrative expert. Her attention to detail and crazy organizational skills means she’s got it all in the bag. We kinda love her!
